Horizontal storage tanks are a type of stainless steel storage tanks. They are divided into horizontal storage tanks and vertical storage tanks according to the installation method. Designed according to the actual requirements of the customer and the limitations of the customer's actual site. Its various functions and welding processing technology are basically equivalent to those of storage tanks. This tank can also be equipped with a stirring device according to customer requirements. In addition to click reduction transmission, the mixing can also adopt a sprocket transmission design. Horizontal storage tanks are widely used in hospitals, pharmaceutical factories, beverage industries, and chemical industries to prepare large infusions, small injections, oral liquids, beverages, chemical raw materials, etc.
1. Structural characteristics of horizontal storage tanks
The volume of horizontal storage tanks is generally less than 100m³, and is usually used in production processes or gas stations. The circumferential welds of horizontal storage tanks are overlapped, and the longitudinal welds are butted. The ring plates are arranged alternately, and the odd number is taken to make the diameter of the end cover same. The end caps of horizontal storage tanks are divided into flat end caps and butterfly end caps. Horizontal storage tanks with flat end caps can withstand 40Kpa internal pressure, and horizontal storage tanks with butterfly end caps can withstand 0.2Mpa internal pressure. Underground horizontal storage tanks must be equipped with reinforcing rings, which are also made of angle steel.
Horizontal storage tanks can be used to store various gases, petroleum, and chemical products. Appropriate materials can be selected to produce storage tanks according to their different chemical properties. The common materials for horizontal storage tanks are carbon steel and stainless steel. For example, if 98% concentrated sulfuric acid is stored for a short period of time, PE plastic storage tanks can be used, but attention should be paid to sealing and shading. For long-term storage, stainless steel storage tanks should be used, because concentrated sulfuric acid will oxidize the surface of the steel to form an oxide layer. It is worth noting that dilute sulfuric acid cannot be filled with Q235-B material, so the selection of distant materials must be determined based on the characteristics of the material. The volume of storage tanks is generally less than 100m3, which is convenient for transportation. They are generally used in gas stations, chemical plants and other places.
2. Main structure of horizontal storage tank
Horizontal storage tank (horizontal oil storage tank) is mainly composed of an oval tank, a base bracket, a flange, a liquid level gauge, a top inlet, an outlet and other inlet and outlet openings. The structure is simple and easy for operators to use, and only requires routine maintenance. During the production process, specialized staff conduct non-destructive testing of the welds of the storage tanks, making the equipment stronger, safer and more reliable.
3. Working principle of horizontal storage tank
Horizontal storage tanks utilize the principle of pressure difference and use the pressure generated by external connecting pipes to inject the storage medium into the tank. In the same way, when the storage medium in the tank is to be released, the pressure in the tank is used to release the storage medium from the outlet. If the storage medium needs to be kept warm, the entire device can be kept warm.
4. Characteristics of horizontal storage tanks
The horizontal storage tank (horizontal oil storage tank) has a simple structure and is a stationary equipment, so do not do too much maintenance on it, only routine maintenance is required.
